The Project

E Terra is a real-time strategy game, distinguished by it's more organic and naturalistic method of play. Structures play a very small role and there are no preset unit classes. All units and unit types are dictated directly by how the player evolves their own species.

A friend asked me to come onboard his project as artist and level designer. It was his senior thesis for his Programming degree. I agreed to help out, and started out with some basic textures to test out the terrain system he had developed, and then moved on to character design and environment props. I was tasked with deciding not only the setting of the game, but the style as well. All the assets I made were created with Maya and Photoshop, with the exception of the skeleton which was made in a combination of Maya, Photoshop and ZBrush.
