Inspiration
This is just a side project I am doing, based off some concept art I did with converting the Legend of Zelda to a completley different "look and feel." The idea came about just talking about how Zelda is more or less the same with every iteration, and wanting to change the themes of the world and drastically altering the art style and setting.
Mostly, its just a way for me to start making different kinds of geometry that I normally would not, and hopefully make a game out of it. That is the end goal, of course. At this point I am making some early models for set pieces and their accompanying set chunks. The goal is to design a very large and detailed playable area by making only a few unique pieces for the main dungeon areas, while have some unique stuff for the main town.
Tools
I am using a combination of Nevercenter Silo and Autodesk Maya for the modeling. Texturing will eventually be done in Photoshop. This project is utilizing the Unity3D game engine.
